Live Like A Local at Jean Lafitte House.
Jean Lafitte, one of the most famous American pirates, is the namesake of this historic New Orleans property. With original construction dating back to the early 1800’s, the front building is the building that Jean Lafitte himself enjoyed. The land was bought at auction, and the original brick building was built in 1817 by Lafitte's Captain Rene Beluche, using brick and planks from their fleet of pirate ships. The property, once used as a Captain’s Quarters for two of the worlds most infamous pirates, has been completely restored, and comfortably furnished. Nestled on the edge of a gorgeous residential area alongside the French Quarter, Jean Lafitte House provides a quiet and peaceful environment with a private courtyard featuring a plunge pool to relax and refresh yourself before exploring the rambunctious streets of the New Orleans. From our doorstep, numerous shops and restaurants in the French Quarter await you. Take a stroll through Jackson Square, listen to live music on Frenchman Street, enjoy a Hurricane on the world famous Bourbon Street, or eat a Beignet alongside the Mississippi River.

Loved our stay here! Such a prime location, not loud at all for how close it was to Frenchman St in the French Quarter, courtyard was beautiful with the pool and rooms were comfortable. I would absolutely stay there next time I visit-especially for the price!

We loved staying here! It was like a condo. It was immaculate. It feels kind of magical with the courtyard. It is furnished with pretty antique furniture and has nice linens. Bathrooms are fully modern and remodled. Beautiful French doors open onto the street from both bedrooms! There is a nice sitting area to enjoy the view. We loved staying here and could easily walk to anywhere we wanted in the French Quarter!
