If our walls could speak, they’d tell stories of visitors from around the globe -- people who stopped by to live like a local for a while. On the edge of the French Quarter, Jean Lafitte House sits on Esplanade Avenue between Chartres and Royal Streets. A block down is Bourbon, and the French Market and Flea Market are just one block in the other direction. The Riverwalk Streetcar line is just beyond and the Riverwalk itself is just on the other side of the French Market. The area is known for its tree-lined boulevard, the quiet, and nearby Frenchmen Street, the new home of New Orleans jazz and live music! In this live music and entertainment district you will find just about every style of music by musicians local and all over the world.
